It would be cool to have some wheeled cart or whatever to help the people move more rocks or food at a time.

[color:"purple"] Yea I like the wheel idea. Have a researcher or builder (master) invent the stone/wooden wheel. Kinda like the caveman time.

fire: have master researcher invent fire.

teaching: Nursing mothers and elders would be great to teach. Gives the nursing mothers something they can do.
In most tribes, the elders were "teachers and story tellers".

kids swimming: Have kids (ages 6 and up) swim in the lagoon with adult supervison. If they want to swim in the ocean, have a random event where the currents might pull them under and take them out to sea if they swim in the ocean. Those undertoes can be killers.

dyes: use berries, flowers, fish parts, leaves, tree bark, mash them into a fine dust, wet with lagoon water, presdo you have paint for huts, drawing/writting, face or dye for clothes and hair.

Arrows: Have woodcutting and crafting as a skill. Then have master crafter invent the bow and arrow for hunting.

Hunting Birds: for eating, can also use feathers for hairdress, arrows, or drawing/writting.

Nanny: Wet nurse/nanny for the times when a mother dies. that way the baby dont die with them. the wet nurse/nanny takes over the baby right away. Can also give mom a break from nursing. 2 years of nursing without a break!! Way too long. Even in rl I got a break from nursing. So glad I didnt have to sit on my butt for 2 yrs without a break.

you've obviously given this a lot of thought! I'm impressed - and I like your ideas. Here's another one - how about being able to export/import tech points and/or food between different games running on the same computer? my main village (after 270 hours) has accumulated food of 3,163,622 and tech points totalling 299343 - but one of my little guys starved to death in a new game I started cuz I couldn't upgrade farming & they had picked the berry bush clean!

Persoally, I think reading e-mail or any technology of that type would be a little too advanced for a village on a remote island. But the ideas for teenage behaviors are great. Also, I like the idea of cooking skills. For a trainee parent or better, I think cooking is a part of that skill in life.

I agree 100%. Think back to the times of the caveman era. Goodness they haven't even invented fire yet and some are talking about email? Way too advance for these little guys/gals.
Need to invent fire first before we can have cooking. No wonder so many of them die on us. From eating raw fish thats gone bad! lol

[color:"purple"] Thanks Dar. Yes I like to think hard before posting for ideas. LOL guess it goes from doing family research for the last 20 plus years in real life. Also being a beta tester for games. Learn a lot from History channel too!

I know how you feel. I had some die on me from lack of food too.
Thats a great idea, but then, there wouldnt be much of a challenge in getting skills or levels.

Maybe have a set amount where you can "loan" out food to the other "village" till they can get up on their feet. Say 500 to 1000 food even if they dont have crops or fish. Its a "load" and a message pops up once in awhile as a reminder that they took out a "food loan" from so and so village and has so much time to "pay it back" or they will lose all their food they have stocked up so far.

Was just thinking of pic of a "loan shark". Have the message have a nasty pic of a "loan shark" on it. [/color]

okay, here's what we'll ask the LWD people to do. Create a new "event" where at random a villager comes back from fishing and they've caught the "Loan Shark". this gives you the ability to give points and/or food to other games running on the same computer - or if we could get the game set up online then I could send you some food after one of those bad things happen to wipe out your supplies and your villagers are in danger of all starving to death!

a lot of people have suggested having the option of sending people to another island once the 16 puzzles are done - of course there is more to THIS island than we get to see - where DOES that path go anyway???

you know I've had as much fun on this forum as actually playing the darn game.

(please send me a PM about your family research - what software do you use etc - thanks).

[color:"purple"] That sounds good but what if we can catch the "loan shark"? Our other village will still starve while the one village is trying to catch the "loan shark"!

The online one sounds great but at times LWD is very slow in loading due to all the traffic coming and going. I am on cable too just think how those that are on dial up would feel.

Yes I wonder too where that path leads too.
As for fun on forum, I can spend hours on here reading and rereading everything. I have a blast here as well as in the game. LOL I even stopped playing toontown, runescape, online sims and offline sims to play VV. And I am a severe simoholic!

Nice to have your kids grown and out of house. Hubby working, home alone all day with pc and VV!! Love it!!!

I love the idea of the boat making so the could get out of the island if they want to....
also I would like a bonus puzzle..or a hidden puzzle or something...that is not on the list, and it only appears after you solved the ones listed...this could be someting to look forward to..and as the events, this could be random too..you can make 2 or 3 so you don`t know which one are u going to get.
ohh and more than an activity is like fisical change..I think it would really help if you can make thei hair turn gray when they become elders, so we can identify them without having to check the details...

looking forward VV2!!!

We've noticed they tend to move a LOT slower as they get older - my Master Farmer to make one trip from the Ocean to the Feed Bin ..... everyone else has made like 3-5 trips by the time he finishes

Yes! Fire would be splendid. Very useful for cooking and metal-working (make some tools?) but way dangerous too.
