I've had this thing too once or twice but did not make a picture.
When the chief was lecturing the children, one little boy was missing, hiding in the clothinghut, he got no education at all that day

When you leave your game running they will stay on that spot and get adults and elders without ever seeing daylight ...

Usually I tent to free them by closing the game and start up again otherwise it's hartbreaking

You don't need to close the game. Just click and drag on and around the clothing hut and you're likely to get a chorus of squeaks as the kids get set free. Before I set the chief to teaching I always try to remember to do that, although I've forgotten a few times.

Closing and reopening the game will probably cause a different set of kids to get stuck!
