Generally I play in normal or easy. I've played in hard, but it is just too HARD!

Yes, very hard! At the beginning we can't practically quit the game until we get the level 3 of farming! All the time chasing after mushrooms

The first thing I do when someone turns 14 is take them around the the 6 plants and make them learn a little bit about healing.

I gues it's sort of a "birthday present"...happy birthday LEARN THIS NOW! ha ha ha

That way everyone can heal a little bit and no one gets really really sick. I once had all but one sick and I had to drag that one around until he learned something so he could heal the rest of the people-most of whom had some skill at healing. That guy must have loved his new medical profession-he became my first ever "Master Doctor" : )

Just a thought...

\:\) I do the same with my 14 years old villagers! When I quit the game I select two villagers as doctors (one doctor could be sick himself, so it's better to have 2!) because if they are not select as healer they don't heal anybody by their own, you have to bring them for doing that \:\( After the villagers are selected, I put them on a task as farming or research, etc and they'll do it! And so I may leave them and be quite. If all my villagers have any healing skill, it's easier to choose the 2 healers!

You don't need to take them around to teach them the plants to make them a healer. You can take any child, even a 2 year old and place them on someone who is sick. May have to do it a few times to get them "trained" but then they will heal. I often take the youngest child and have them heal when there are epidemics. By the time they turn adult they're Adept and close to Master.

Also, if everyone is sick, you can still heal. Just place a sick person on another and one will probably heal up, then use that one to heal everyone else.
