Alright. I was reading the latest "POLLS" thread and it seems we are allowed to gripe about other games. I have a gripe and hope LDW does not do. I used to like RealArcade(RA) in its infancy but somewhere their console needs to update its "catalog".

When I want to play a game in RA, I open up their console. A message box pops up and it tells me to "PLEASE BE PATIENT" written in all caps (that's an indication there). Then, further down the message box it say "...This process can take up to 20 minutes. You can continue working while these updates are being installed.", just not in RA's console.

When I want to play a game, I want to play it now!!! Not have to wait "20 MINUTES" before I can use the console. Does anyone else have a dislike with a particular game or game console/system?

Also, what does your game arsenal look like? Here's mine:

I truly don't like the use of game consoles. I prefer having an icon (if I chose) on my desktop that links me directly to the game and I don't have to go to a console after it closes. I prefer not having this additional software on my computer.

RA was bad enough but now that BF is doing something similar really annoys me enough that I stopped my subscription.

Yes, BF has done this too. It stalls before it lets you "Exit". I have noticed though my older purchases that I haven't played in the console, like VV2, does not trigger the console. Because of this, I am not associating VV2 with BF console. Unfortunately any new purchases don't have a choice. They are sold into console dictatorship. \:\)

I have purchased several games from "Y!" Games and that has been my fav. No consoles, reinstalls are easy to relicense. Let's hope they don't follow suit.

Yeah, I use to use Big Fish as well when they still used icons but hate that they use icons now. I definateley like icons better, though I do use Real Arcade sometimes becuase Readers Digest gives away free (not free trial, free full version, no time-limit) games.

So you guys do not like the "download manager" that big fish games uses now?

Hmmm I think I smell a poll coming...

Arthur, a poll might be worth it. Maybe the publishers of the games will listen. I'm sure we are not the only ones who find this offensive. I was a member of BF for a long time and have lots of their games but was very put out by the game manager.

Like Gamemastr, I did not add any of my previous games to the manager but the couple that I did purchase after their new addition makes it a royal pain in the you know what. BF gave me a free game because they messed up my account; I used the freebie to get Fish Tycoon. Unfortunately, because of the "manager" I stopped playing it.

HELP US, ARTHUR! Make the powers that be see the light.

OK, I got this thread going and I was looking at the list of game some of you put. Keep posting your lists. That is interesting to me. I then said to myself, "Self, what is the most popular type of game?" So I was wondering if you could answer MY one question poll.

Try it out. Pass it around to others. Have them answer it too. The more, the merrier. The better the overall picture.
