I've only been playing a couple weeks, and I really like this game. There are some changes I'd like to see. Some of these were already mentioned, so excuse the duplication.

1) Search villagers by age, skill, or health status so when you find out your healer is sick you can easily figure out who can make them better...

2) Make the F6 outfit change function "wrap around" so you aren't stuck on the last outfit.

3) Pink blankies for girls, blue ones for boys--yes yes yes yes yes.

4) I'm another player who's somewhat irked by the "nursing mothers do nothing" aspect of VV. Instead, I'd like to see the moms gain some parenting experience while they nurse, and maybe also work as researchers, say, at half the speed as regular ones. In real life I've seen nursing moms, with kid "attached", working away at research projects in libraries...

5) More detailed tombstones. It'd be great if the tombstone listed why the villager died. Was it old age? Food Poisoning? Were they eaten by a grue? It'd also be good to list the villager's significant doings, like "Cleared the well to provide drinking water" or "drank the oily liquid and became a Master Farmer" or "took the red pill, and freed Zion", or whatever.

I agree that the Breeding skill and actual breeding could be tweaked/improved because in my game the VV'ers who make the most trips into the Love Shack have the Highest levels regardless of whether they have bred(made a baby) on the trip or not. As other posters have noticed this means it's a lot easier for men to get high levels of the skill.

Also I think it's kind of unfair that mothers can't gain any skills when they're nursing; basically for two game years a woman with a baby can't improve in any way - which can keep them at lower levels than the men, especially if you get a gender-imbalance in the village and there aare more men than women.

Speaking of details, I would like to see messages being more specific rather than referring to people as "this villager" or "someone". For example

"Healing Toto."
"Dr. Scott has increased his healing skill."

And if you find a villager "waiting for someone" you can find out who that someone is and drag the slacker over there!

My two cents:
On the main page we need two buttons
a)restarts the game with same villagers
b)starts a whole new game with different villagers

Would like to be able to pick starting villagers and their age.

Keep the F6 clothes chaning function, but tweaked so that can go up or down the list.

Their likes and dislikes more towards what's around them. I absolutely love the ones who love to run and those who don't. Would also like more of the villagers to have the different traits.

How about being able to use the arrow buttons to get around the screen faster than the grab and drag move.
One other thing why can't the adults pick the mushrooms?
I could have really used them when my daughter unpaused her game and left it running.... no food, everyone weakened and hoping noone died while the first crops started and mushrooms popping up everywhere!

Another thought...
I'd like it if we when you started the game it started at a main page so you pick what name you want to go under and not have it automatically open the game of whoever was playing last.

Well, there are a lot of great suggestions here.

I really like the idea of a "years since landing" or something like that (months, weeks, whatever). I'd love to know how much progress I've made in gametime without trying to remember the characters' starting ages.

I suppose the way it's coded, a baby doesn't actually count as a character and it's just a prop when you have a nursing mother. I'd love to change that so that we could have the aforementioned pink and blue blankets and names for the babies immediately. If their skills are inherited, then they should have them at birth, too. And I'd like someone else to be able to take over nursing the baby if mom dies (maybe put in a limitation that it has to be a female that has a baby too or something)

I'd love a larger variety of characters, so they didn't look like each other. As long as I had this, I'd be perfectly fine with not getting "aging" characters.

Go ahead and let users rotate through the outfits, but let them go in a circle instead of stopping at the end.

I would love a "don't do this" option. Say an "X" instead of a checkmark in the box (or some sort of symbol - maybe turn the row red since "X" is often used to mark a box the same way a checkmark is).

A family tree would be great, but it could get a bit confusing when you mix 'n match your villagers (especially common when you have a gender imbalance and small group).

I'd also love assigned breeding as an option (but to be able to turn if off and allow mix 'n matching too).

And there needs to be a way the game doesn't think my character is trying to breed when s/he's trying to heal.

Change the way parenting skill is accumulated - it's just crazy.

Get rid of the Golden Child altogether. Or at least let him grow up. Or make it so girls can be the Golden Child, too.

Someone somewhere mentioned "milestone" moments and the village celebrating - say the birth of a child or a two-year-old's "naming ceremony" or when a kid turns 14 or 18. Also, this would help the user keep track of what's going on. And I would love a countdown of minutes for a villager to turn 14/18 once they are 13/17. And for the baby to turn into a toddler 60 seconds after "0 minutes" is listed instead of six or seven or eight minutes later.

I'm for keeping breeding age at 18. It's unrealistic-ness is a minor issue, and you don't want parents up-in-arms about it. There should be an upper age limit, too. And while we're at that, we might make males able to breed less often after a certain age - but that might be too complicated to bother with.

Ooopsie just thought of something else.... I'd like to be able to customize the game a little. I think it would be fun if I could choose how many villagers I start off with and what ages they are. Make my own scenario ie... all kids 14 and under.... or one adult and a bunch of kids ... or just 2 ppl etc.

Fantastic idea. I'd love to make mine all under-18s and see what I could do. Or start with a bigger group (12?) and have two or three kids running around. Always feel sorry for the kid, with no one to play with him. Except pink and blue blanets, this is my most desired feature. You'd probably have to have limitations, so you couldn't start with more than 15 or so people (keep it 7 even, since there aren't enough huts) and couldn't make them all masters. Heck, make it a maximum of 7 with only one trainee if you have to. I'd still love to be able to pick ages, genders, and looks.

Coupled with other (more complicated?) modifications, you could even create married sets or sibling sets for your beginning. That'd be neat.

I would like to see the children being able to do more things, like pick flowers, and swimming, maybe collecting sea shells or playing with the butterflies. Maybe even have the option of getting a teacher and letting the kids really go to school for a certain career, so when they are old enough to work they would have plenty of knowledge.

Awesome Idea, I would love to see the babies have pink or blue blankets too. I tried making a family tree and ended up with 30 boys and 3 girls. I was only breeding the same girls with the same boys. If I would have known what the babies were earlier in the game I would have bred the girls differently. I also think that they should only nurse until the babies are one. I think that the male villager who fathered the baby should also have to stay with the mother until she is done nursing, maybe he could bring her water and food or something like that. That could give them more parenting skills, instead of just the breeding part giving them skills.
