I saw something about this in another forum on here. Marriage. Some people are for it, some are against it.

We can have the best of both worlds. For the people who want marriage, the big hand of god/dess could drag and drop a couple inside the ruins, then instead of going inside, they would have a littler ceremony, and then never be allowed to breed with anyone else. This would also open up some intersting behaviours for the villagers such as nagging, checking honeydo lists, couples that relax together instead of alone, they could have fights that stop them from working, or work together for higher productivity, etc. And the children could follow them around the island. When one partner dies the other could suffer a loss of health, or refuse to work for a year.

If you wanted to make it more traditional, the builders could build a church, and the other villagers could be invited to the wedding.

For people who don't want marriage, you just don't do the drag and drop.

I think optional marriage is a very good idea. If this was added in VV2, then what about family activites, such as a picnic, or simply relaxing together, as someone else mentioned.

What about, on the detail screen, it could state if the vilager was married, and, if they were, who to. Also it could name any children the villager had. Also, once two villagers were married, they could be given a surname.

I am all for marriage and families in VV2!

And I'm still against them. If there's marriage then there should be options to turn them off or choose another type - namely, harem.

Come on, it's fantasy people. And some of us don't believe in marriage IRL.

I posted about Marriage in another post but i agree that people should be able to choose if they want Marriage in there game or not.
I like the surname idea and theres alot of good idea's that i've read in here.
Marriage is my personal preference but it would also be good to have one game with Marriage going and one without to see the differences between them.

I think they should have a Virtual Villagers First Person Mode so you can get down to your villager's point of view. And in that first person mode you could do things like research, farm, enjoy the lagoon and even interact with your villagers! that would be awesome!

I think the thing that would be the most useful for me anyhow is a larger game window. Im not sure what the current game runs at (800x600 maybe) but it would be nice to at least be able to maximize it for full screen viewing of the whole game (not full screen per users monitor) just to see the whole island inside one window without up down and sideways scrolling. That way you could watch the whole world at normal size without going to map view to find people etc.
