Well, I though that Arthur and Co. enjoyed our suggestions, I know my "list" is OTT (holding my hand up for that) but thought the point of this thread was new ideas, or am I mistaken??
And regarding the colour font,
First, thanks for your warm welcome!! Second, I used the colour fonts to distinguish between the "chapters" of my list, but realise that the yellow in particular is rather light (first time I've used it) and obviously, given my origins, should have gone for the green, haha!!
But I love purple, so will probably still post in that, although I'm sorry if you had any difficulty reading anything I've written.
Maybe the fault is more to do with the "boring" length of my posts rather then the colour, haha!!

How about if you just use color occasionally, like for Chapter headings or your signature? The purple isn't as bad as the yellow/orange, but it still lacks as much contrast. I'm not color-blind, but for forum members that are (and have that particular variation) it could be much worse for them.

I kind of like the color, although I guess it is an issue if some people have trouble reading it. But the color kind of makes the posts unique, as does the signature. How about just doing the signature in color, not the rest? Best of Isola (Which we all already know) Tabbeh (Because I'm not telling my real name)  (because I don't want to copy Maura) Doesn't really work, does it?

we're not oceanographers...just fans  if they fish dive deeper when its sunny, then they must come up when its cloudy, yes? just flip the two. or on sunny days the villagers could be more prone to taking a swim or relaxing on the beach instead of actually working

I think it probably has to do more with the amount of sunlight that filters down through the water. I assume that most fish that live anywhere near the surface need sunlight the same way we do. And if its about warm/cold water, the further down you go, the colder it gets.
