Is this the place to post ideas for the game? Here's a couple I've come up with:

1) It would be great to have the game work as a screensaver - rather than staying on the map screen or following certain islanders around it could flick between them after a while, giving more of an overview of what's happening.

2) In the Tech screen, pressing somewhere that isn't a button removes the current selection, e.g. if I select Harvesting and miss the info button ([censored] digitizer drift) I'll need to reselect it before I try again.

Anyone got any more?

The ability to save multaple files would be cool too.

I've actually got mine running as a screensaver right now. I set my Zire's "Stay on in cradle" to on, and then put it in the cradle and started Village Sim. I run it either with one villager selected (watching him/her roam all over the map) or with the map view showing.

I like looking over to see what they're doing!

I do agree, though, that a screensaver mode that showed different parts, or jumped between your villagers one every 15 seconds or so to show what each is doing, would be very cool.

I do what you do, too, Heather! I like to see what they're doing. It provides a very interesting diversion, especially when I'm running a battery of tests on the game!

I think your screen saver idea is excellent (but maybe stay on a single villager for at least a minute - it takes them awhile to walk somewhere)! I'd like to see that make it into the game, too!

I would like to suggest a "Disable power off" option like you have in Fish Tycoon.

I'd like that, too! As it is, I have to keep my T5 on AC power when I need to keep the device from powering off.

Yeah I think the screensaver idea is good. It could autoswitch between villagers. That wouldn't be hard to program. At least I wouldn't think it would be. I still think there should be an area that saves your messages you've recieved.

Another cool improvement would be graphs. Say one for food levels, tech points and population.

Be nice to be able to select multiple villagers.

I was just thinking last night while playing that it might be nice to see what action the villager is currently doing when you're in the detail screen. I know you can see it when you're selected on them but sometimes I'm so excited seeing them wandering around the map I want to know if anyone is trying anything new, and an easy way to see that is in detail and clicking through everyone - but there is no section for "currently researching" or whatnot.

Just a thought!
