First, I want to say that I am completely addicted to this game. I LOVE it. Using the "change player" option, I have established 4 different villages, and even though I have completed all of the puzzles for each village, I continue to guide and care for each one. Many generations have come and gone, but I can't seem to bring myself to delete these charming little people!!!!!!!!! It is my hope that Vv2 will somehow pick up where "Vv a new home" left off, allowing each of my villages to simply discover something in their current surroundings that they had never really noticed before. This "discovery" would then lead them to further in-depth research leading to other discoveries and puzzles to solve. It seems only logical that the cave and it's contents would be the beginning of the next era of exploration and advancements for the villagers. Perhaps their curious nature would lead them to discipher the pictures drawn on the cave walls. Which could lead them to discover a hidden pathway through the cave to another part of the island!!!! The villagers could set up a new research table outside the cave's entrance to encourage other villagers to learn and join the team of "Isola Explorers" Yeah!!!!!

I too like the idea of marriage. I do pair my couples up and keep a family tree. When a spouse dies, I allow a "mourning peroid" and then marry again. By keeping a running joural, it makes the game more fun, not only for myself, but for my husband. For while he isn't into the game, he does love to here about what their up to

Finally going through some old posts but I am sitting here (at work) LMAOPIMP. I thought I was the only one who hated the GC. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Nope I would like to see him grow up, teach, farm, raise the dead DO something. The last straw was when GC's own mother died and he threw a party on top of her. After that, whenever I get the GC, I just start a new game.

I actually tried solving the family tree problem by devising a last name system. My tribe ended up with majority full of [Name] Farmer and [Name] Healer. So I think a family tree would be extremely useful. I also use a family tree. And I also use a sirname sytem. I use my, my father's and husband's hebrew names for each clan. Makes the game more fun and even my husband is beginning to get into it.

I also agree with the rest that when children go to school their points should go up and that there should be apprenticeship.

Another thing is that the villagers should know how to prioritise and do their work a million times before going of to play.

I would like a 3x speed specially for when i am playing VV. Then I could use 2x just for when i am not around.

I don't mind more God-powers in the game, cos i think its just solving puzzles and following a rigid storyline.

I too agree that marriage should be optional. I sort of like not having married couples... but it would be interesting to have a game with marriage. I just think it should be optional. The temple area idea that someone else had earlier is good. You could also have a setting in the game options - allow marriages or disallow marriages.

Or at least be able to turn off the "go to the Alpha" tendency that villagers have whenever they want to mate, chat, talk, teach, argue, tell a joke, tell a story, complain, etc.! In one game I had a runner, but he was also the "Alpha Male" so he was constantly being interupted from whatever he was running to and was "Waiting for Someone."

I like the family tree idea, but if that's not possible for VV2, it would be good at least if on the detials screen, there was a Child Count for the selected villager, so we could know whos been having all the kids while we werent watching!

The game log records all of the successful "kisses" in Virtual Villagers, so you really don't have to wonder. This post explains how to access it.

even if they don't add the feature someone could easily design a program that could keep the info for you.

I don't have the skills, but I'm sure someone does.

Someone made a program to help you keep up with fish breeding results in fish tycoon, and I've seen several other games that have unofficial programs that can help you with it.

Oh right, thanks! I'm pretty clueless about computers, so I would never have thought to check that!
