I think what she's saying is that 12 points of food is enough food to add to the stew

Sorry I should have said it better. To be able to add food to the stew in first place you indeed need 2 brown mushrooms in bin. Before it says adding food to stew. Before that if you have less or 0 will tell you not enough food to do this. And you can also collected mushrooms and collectibles when game is on pause. I think pretty boring doing it that way. But sometimes you need to do it to gather food before you get the tech levels you need to keep your village going.

Hi all, I guess I'll put in my 2 cents. I just joined the forum but my VV1 is still going strong. I've been down to 0 food so many times on this one it isn't funny. Sweatin' bullets! When I needed the dam finished, I put Everyone on it. It went much faster. Then I put Everyone on planting and watering until that garden came in. I didn't worry about research or anything else. I had 0 coconuts and 0 kids finding mushrooms at the time so getting the dam done was the most important thing. Once the crisis was over, Everyone but 1 planting and watering was doing research. I'm now 3000 away from 3rd level farming and getting rid of the algae. Then maybe we can all breathe easier. lol

If you can help it, don't mass farm to bring in the food. The time till next harvest will be that much longer.

No worries now. The algae is gone and fishes and crabs are the dinner of choice. lol (with a few veggies on the side)
