It's because we're all having a food crisis in this game it looks like. I too am one of them. I only have 21 villagers 300 in the bin and 50 in the garden for food and level 1 medicine and culture and level 2 Farming, Exploration, Engineering, and Science. Currently at 10,000 tech points.

Do I get the points up to 90,000 for the farming or what? Not sure what I should buy next. What you you do in my situation?

21 villagers are a lot to support on Farming 2... I'd suggest you get farming 3 next and use those kids to collect as many mushrooms as you can in the meantime

That's just it...I can't find any mushrooms...barely even seen any collectibles lateley either. Oh, and the darn lake is algified too.

I agree Bajantara i would get ur farming up...And about the Mushrooms well just keep looking and xome of the colectables are hard to see.

they should turn up... try using the keypad to search... at least it'll take some strain off your mouse hand... oh and you could make one of the healthy stews and feed them with it... that'll help stretch your food supply. They will be full and healthy without eating directly from the food bin, which is more food-consuming

Just got the stew. Do they eat that on their own too? upto 13,500 on the tech points so have quite a ways to go for level 3. Down to 46 food. Like someone said before....oh, the drama.
