If you're lucky you can get a lot of tech points quickly without cheating, but it can be tedious. Then again, if you are low on food and mushroom hunting, it's just another thing you can do.

Hello..I am new to this game and unfortunatly I saw another post before this telling people that time warping is a good thing and it will help in building and what not..
And although it did that, it really screwed my game. All of a sudden I had 0 food and 300 mins till my farm thingy was ready to be harvested...So naturally all my villagers died...And I worked so hard to get them to where they were \:\( I was close to finishing the game..I am really upset and this topic should be stickied because time forwarding SUCKS

This topic is stickied, for that very reason. I'm sorry that you didn't see it early enough to prevent disaster. \:\(

Thank you for making this topic sticky! People just don't get it sometimes. Cheating does not make you win in the end! \:\)

Ha ya. I found out a little too late that it doesn't work so well on VV2.
My people no longer age. I have 3 males, 3 children[female], and 2 nursing females. I decided not to time travel. and it has been two days. Yet the women are still nursing for 87 minutes and 120 minutes, and the children are still young. The males dont gain any skill and it takes forever for tech.

Time Traveling Sucks.

I JUST DOWNLOADED MY VV2. I THINK I WILL ENJOY THIS GAME AS MUCH AS THE 1ST. IT WOULD BE A SHAME TO WARP AND MISS OUT ON THE VILLAGERS LEARNING AND GROWING.
THANKS FOR ANOTHER TIME CONSUMING GAME. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

I agree that you can't play this one like the last one. If you time travel, you will also miss out on the cute things that the villagers do now! There are so many new things in this chapter. If you travel past them, you will miss out.

I want to add that the advantage of playing on 1/2 speed in VV1 do not apply to VV2...

If I need to time warp my computer for a reason other than VV2, and I pause the game reset my clock, and then go back will this mess up my VV2 game?

if you pause the game time does not affect it. But set it back before you restart or the game will use the fake time as opening time, then if windows sets it back automatically your timers will be screwed.

Thanks! I was so worried... ok I know it is just a game, and that i could start over, but i am so close to an elder and I didn't want to mess this one up. (Never ever drink a strange potion if they are almost an elder - now he is 50 and no skills!)
