i had to work on a commodore...with the actual floppies, the ones that were like the size of my LPs....when the lil 3.5s came out we were all so amazed they were so tiny...by the time CD roms were out the technology had lost a lot of its mystery for me...sad
i've only gotten hit by one bad virus...chernobyl...before we knew you had to have virus protection....

I didn't have a drive with my C-64 at first; used a cassette/tape drive... the first floppy drive I got with it was, like you said, the height of fancy technology.. haha

My name is Laura and I live in Lawton, Oklahoma. It's near an Army post called Ft. Sill and since my dad was in the Army, that's how I wound up here. I'm 28, single, no kids. I work at an inbound customer service call center as a kind of subject matter expert/coach/go-to person/guru, so when I come home, playing VV gives me a way to unwind and leave work at work. I just got back today after a training trip to Dallas for a new client, so I'm trying to catch up on all the posts during my absence. I left my games on pause so I wouldn't miss anything or come back to a village that was completely wiped out.

My name is Penny, I live in Coventry, England, with my dog - Blue (who is my baby- and is named after the Joni Mitchell song). I'm 32 and a student mental health nurse. I play VV as light relief from writing essays - usually playing when I really should be writing!
