Let me start by saying that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the games you put out. I have played all the Virtual Villager and Virtual Family games.

I love this new game as well, but I have been playing for almost 2 months and I really don’t see
that there is much to it and am almost ready to quit.

I have repaired the pond on the SW corner of the island, repaired the bridge to get to the North side of the island and repaired the beach area and the entry to the cave.

I have a note I have been carrying around for over a month that I dug up from the center of the stone circle. The note is “ gear information”. I have gone to the secretary, both men in the general store, the museum curator, the people in the bank, and the man in the clothing store, and no one asks about it. In the past if you have an item that is important, the secretary or one of the people mentioned about will ask you about it.

I have collected all of the minerals and almost all of the bugs. Other than finishing the bug and plant collection and buying all items available in store and house upgrades, what is left?

I have tried to use the ax and pickax on rocks and hills surrounding the island hoping to find something. There is strange wind chime music in a very specific area on the far NE side of the island – NOTE: there are never any bugs, garbage, grass, or treasures to find in this area. I keep hoping it is a magical area and try planting things there, but nothing seems to happen.

I have been picking mayors that have a high charm level, but am never able to make the
friend meter go up over half with any of the townsfolk - I have been collecting and saving
bugs, minerals and plants so that every day I am able to give each person the plant, bug or mineral they want 99% of the time. So if I am always able to give them what they want every day and I have a lot of charm AND the rabbit’s foot that I bought when I first started the game, why does the friend meter only go up to half? It seems pointless, especially now that when the mayor retires the meters reset.

I hope this doesn’t come across as mean, but I really thought there would be more depth to this game.

Please tell me if I am missing something – I don’t mind any spoilers, just tell me there is something to look forward to, or I’m afraid I’m gonna pull the plug on this game :-(

Hi Misty ~ about the note, I don't have the best memory, but I think you can give it to someone.

I'm in the same boat you are, playing everyday and waiting for the update. I've shifted my focus on getting different outfits for my townies haha!

Anyway, I did get a note and somebody did take it from me, unfortunately, I don't remember..I think it was....
Click to reveal..
I believe it was one of the storekeepers.

I have been trying to think of something new to do so I can see what happens - so instead of giving the townies everything they ask for I don't. If they are rude on first greeting, I won't help them.
I don't see why I should put up with rudeness in a game.

Have you noticed when you are gardening in real life that you want to catch butterflies etc?

Amazing how a game can influence your real life. Maybe that's why there was a lot of complaints about the rudeness of the townies.

Perhaps game developers can use games for the goodness of mankind!

Well I tried handing it off to everyone including the adoption lady and one of the merchants that came to sell plants. I went to every resident of the town at least two or three times and all of the people that are in the store, bank, clothing store, Museum curator, etc.

Sigh... frown

Did you try your assistant? I remember she ordered a part for me.
