I think there was another forum this fit into better but I can't find it. One thing I love is the sandbox....

Click to reveal..
If you place 3 or 4 sandboxes together the kids play across all of them as though they were one big sandbox. It's very cool especially if you have 3 to 6 kids.

How can you spend the dollars gained in VF1 in VF2?

There is no way to transfer the money gained in Virtual Families to Virtual Families 2: Our Dream House. They are completely separate games. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Some of the new things I love:

-The weather. I was surprised when the fog came rolling in, have yet to get snow.
-The Adoption Services
-The dice thing that gives you random events
-The fact that I don't have to wait for my little peep to drag a weed to the recycling bin. Ugh, I hated that in the original game!
-The new bodies and faces are really nice, although I'm kind of partial to the classic chunkiness of the VF1 peeps
-Being able to have interactions with the pets

Loc: In a big gray house!
I also like decorating, adoption services, and not having to dump weeds in the trash.

I am not as enthusiastic about the new faces as some of you seem to be. My current family has a daughter who has so much eye makeup that she looks downright scary, and her grandparents adopted a 2-year-old who looked like a hooker with makeup, big hoop earrings and red upswept hair. I don't like most of the female clothes, either. I like the appearance of the guys more than the females.

The lack of genetics has come close to ruining the game for me. I enjoyed choosing spouses in order to manipulate the appearance of the kids in VF1. If there is a VF3, I hope genetics make a comeback.

Me too! I remember being really upset when I had a rainbow-head mother and none of her kids took after her frown

But I really like VF2 better! The whole being able to add new rooms and customize them is great. Also, the graphics and store really improved smile

I like the new kids actions like when you have a Christmas Tree such as breaking ornaments. Its bad to break ornaments though! laugh

What a great thread!

Likes:
I like that you can make the house look like you want.
The graphics are much better
LOVE the adoption service
LOVE the maid/gardener services

Dislikes:
When making a baby, the timing between the couple is off, which makes it harder to actually have the child
It seems to take longer to get coins, therefore I can't adopt or remodel as often as I'd like.
