Some things, like the huts, love shack, clothes hut, and nursery are the same as in VV4 and so those mods should work in VV5 as well. VV4 mods are here.

EDIT: I haven't checked to see if the file names are exactly the same so you might need to rename some files.

Putting the Virtual Families pets into the game isn't possible with a mod, since it requires programming to put the animations into the game.

is it possible you can put it on in the update

That isn't something we plan to do. Virtual Villagers is not the same kind of game as Virtual Families, and pets don't fit into the game design.

what about monkeys

I'm sorry, but we won't be introducing new elements into the game at this point. We need to focus our programming efforts on fixing issues that have come to light since the game was released.

There are hut mods available in VV3 and VV4 that can be used in VV5 (perhaps even VV1 and VV2, feel free to check). You can find them by checking the mod section for each game. Start your search here. The mods can be put into VV5 by following the Installation Instructions for Graphic Mods here. Mind you, you must be logged onto the forum to use the search feature.

@Cyborg : For the mod that I directed you to, just go back to it and use the #2 instruction below as the image was posted as an image file.

Download the mod that you want to install and save it to a location of your choosing using one of the following methods:
1. If the mod is a zip file, simply click on the attachment link to download the mod, following your browser's instructions.
2. If the mod has been posted as image files, you will need to right-click on the image and select the option to save the image to your computer. The exact method depends upon the browser you're using, but a context menu should open giving you an option to save the image (e.g. Save Image As...).

In order for the new image to show up in your game it must have the exact same name as the original image, thereby replacing the original image.
