The guide gives the same explanation of puzzle 3 as puzzle 4. I have no idea how to get rid of the angry heathens!!! Help!

Even though it says the same thing, have you tried doing what it suggests? It could be that those two things are very similar in their solutions

The totem has two red masked heathens by it as well as one orange mask. I can distract the orange guy but my villagers won't dismantle the totem because of the two red guys.
I've tried everything I can think of to get them away from the totem but nothing works. Any suggestions would be great.
I've read the game guide but it is to vague that it doesn't help me at all.

I'm having the darndest time getting them distracted.

well you could try

I've tried bees but they scare my villagers away as well.
Bees just don't work. I don't have access to lightening bolts.

than convert and collect relics until you have that power because nothing else will work that I know of.
