I've founded it!!! And losted.

I am playing 5 families. I've founded it at the 1st slot exactly as said in this forum. When I opened the 2nd family there was the ball at the same place I left it on 1st one!!! So, again, I've played a little and lost it. Then it has appeared at the 3rd family! Funny, don't you??

But I don't know how or why the ball doesn't go to the 4th family, hehe... I think the secret is the central hall, near the collectibles drawers. Somewhere there there are a wormhole linking families. Cool!!!!!

My red ball is back, and even though it wouldn't appear in the other game's toyboxes the other day today it is there if I click on the place it's in in the first game...just as QuickStorm said it would be.

One day it will turn up when you have forgotten all about it and maybe I might be lucky one day, if I ever get that lucky fun redball

I found the ball in all of my 3 families, and I even have 2 balls in 1 of my families tool tray...weird! I should start a collection!

I left my little red ball on the porch and when I looked again Crisi was doing a quick workout. Guess it is a swiss therapy ball.

Don't feel bad, I've never seen it in any of my games either. In fact, I didn't even know it existed until last night when I happened to see the post about it, lol! All day today I watched for it, but never saw it. I rarely have more than 2 kids per family though, so that might be part of the problem as it sounds like you have to have a lot of kids for it to show up. Although I do have one family with five kids (a single birth, a set of triplets and another single birth) and I played that family for a long time today hoping to see the ball but never did.

what does the red ball do for the game??
