I have lite version of this on my iPod to satisfy me until I can play on the computer, and I was wondering if you really do have to wait eight hours to get food. If not, how can I get more food?

The food on the iPhone version works exactly like the Mac and Windows versions. You can always look for mushrooms if you're running low, or check out the many suggestions in this thread.
