Thanks, bethlham. ^_^

On the topic of adding different races (good idea), it might be an easier task if the families weren't bi-racial. The skin tones would have to be mixed and such. But if the husband and wife were both African or Asian or so on, I can see it working. Not that I know anything about graphic work, but it makes sense... doesn't it? lol. blush

There are some people on the forums who make some great mods, and one of them might be willing to make one for skin tone. I believe Jazzo did one for skin tone for one of the VV games. smile

I still say cheeper organic groceries and other things. Pet interaction sounds cool along with many other ideas but can you imagine bathing a CAT?!

"Here kitty kitty kitty...." Cat : Meow??? O.o;.......REOWRRRRR!!! HISSSSS *swipe*

if you're going to do that add 'band aids' to the medical supplies. lol

though a dog that shakes water/soap all over you does sound cute game or not. my IRL dog used to before she passed.

But have you ever seen how beautiful bi-racial children are? I didn't realize how difficult it would be to make the people different races, as I am not a programmer at all.

Firstly, remake the baby graphic. If not mistaken is looks exactly the same as VV, but enlarged (a little too much), able to see pixelated edges.

The mum shouldn't really be carrying it 24/7, even when sleeping the baby is in the same position?!

The gameplay a little wrong, right after the baby grows up he can already do all sorts of things, sell collectibles online and fix routers? That's wrong.

The famous VV zoom map is non existent in VF (Disappointed)

When characters are walking into the house, they stumble upon the wall and backtrack a little so finally entering the house.
Probably just need better future scripting.

When sleeping at night, they don't actually sleep the whole night but wakes up every 10 minutes or so. Exhaustion level go haywire.

A nice milestone chart will be nice to see how far there is to finishing all the unknowns. Though the awards may already contribute to this.

Add a little interaction between objects and chars would be good. Like when going to sleep, at least cover the blanket. Also worst still is when reading magazine, totally no interaction.

The option of increasing and reducing speed of game should have been added in the game since it was real time.

Wish there were more interactions in the laundry room, so far never really used that room. Or maybe not yet?

Would like to see more interactions between chars since its more of a family game.

Would like to see reduced prices in the store, too pricy.

When dragging a char whose carrying something, the char shouldn't drop it like in VV, but at least let them continue doing what they do, or else they'll just keep dropping stuff and magically disappears..

In the family tree, although the baby is still bald and covered in white cloth, the tree already shows how the baby's gonna look like.

Would like the char to be able to choose and switch jobs rather than already chosen and forced to continue it.

Recommend to buck up salary everytime a char finishes 1 cycle of work. 1$ for every cycle is just pathetic.

Anyways just my 2 cents here. Hope LDW releases a major patch to cover imbalances in the game which is spawning everywhere.

Yeah, I honestly don't see why the mom can't work once she has a baby. In real life lots of women go back to work after having a kid. Some the very next day unless they're really sick or something. She should be able to put the baby in a crib and go earn some money. Especially since the husbands tend to be lazy!

As I suggested above, the salary time issue needs to be addressed. I understand that the gameplay is supposed to last generations, and that too much money too quickly could interfere with the generational aspect. But this could be offset by events such as weather related expenses (need a new roof, siding, windows); maybe the toilet, sinks, shower problems malfunction a random number of times before it generates a need for a plumber; so many fires in the oven and then the oven must be replaced, same for the washer/dryer. Electricians, exterminators, glaziers, landscapers (yeah, I know they pull the weeds, but I've yet to see a lawnmower) could all be required at some point in the game to offset the increased salary.

I think that the upgrades should have levels also. You invest in the pool at $1600 (if I recall correctly), but then later you can invest in a more expensive in-ground pool, birdhouse can be upgraded to a Koi pond (for instance), barbecue grill to a barbecue pit, etc.

Maybe the ability to hire an interior decorator, with maybe a popup allowing you to select the color theme.

Maybe more space on a part of the house with the option to add on to the house, various things could be offered such as a greenhouse, another bedroom, enclosed pool or a separate dining room. That way you'd have a goal, that could change over the generations.

I like it when the puzzles, goals have payout that make it worth the effort to solve, or scrimp and save to buy them. So far, the biggest payoff I've seen is on the towel warmer. The birdhouse, they do occasionally go whistle up birds and they feed them, they occasionally poke at the fish or feed them. The grill was, well I don't want to ruin it for anyone... Let's just say it was not what I expected. And for all the trouble of fixing the hose, it's pretty anticlimatic.

I agree with ALL the suggestions in this thread. I like the game, but I have to admit I am underwhelmed due to most of the complaints I've read here in the forums.

Here are my 2 cents:

1. The BABIES...this is my biggest gripe. When they're born they look exactly like the ones in VV. Because this game was touted as a Family Simulation, I expected there to be a difference in this area--mainly, caring for the infant would've have been a fun part of game playing. I can accept that the Mother won't work during those 2 years, if only she were TRULY occupied with caring for the child: diapering, feeding, bathing, etc. Maybe even get the Father and the siblings involved. That would've made the 2 years they carry that coccoon like baby around, a lot more interesting.

2. TODDLERS - second biggest complaint. Toddlers don't look like toddlers, they simply look like a smaller scale adult with their grown up outfits, high heels and jewelry. I happen to like the fact that they go to bed when the sun goes down. Sometimes they get up to go to the bathroom or drink water and that's pleasing because it mimics reality, so when a 2 year old is 'heating food up', selling collectables and doing the dishes it kills the illusion for me.

I had this same gripe in VV -- the fact that they aren't children but just smaller sized adults, but at least in VV the whole game was drawn at a much smaller scale, so the kids up to 8 or 9 still looked somewhat little and moved so fast they looked cute -- but the kids in VF are never cute at any stage ;( -- and in both VV and VF it bugs me a bit that 12 and 13 year olds are still 'playing in the dirt' and with toys when in reality they'd be doing something more grown up ...

3. And Finally Wardrobe. I agree that it is a bummer that they only wear 1 outfit in all the game unless you splurge $225 for a new one...but then lose the old one. It's not like they can change back into the old one again for variety...they simply lose it. It would be nice if each character came with a couple outfits for different activites: Pijamas for sleeping; shorts for weeding; bathings suits for swimming... and so on.

All of the ideas posted on this thread would greatly improve the game. It has some cute aspects to it...but hopefully there will be a VF 2 where there is more Sim gameplay...

I think there should be hair dye at the store! laugh Preferably pink laugh

And hair cutting sheers...I always trim my kids hair...then they could pick new hairstyles! smile

I know, I know...every game I want to change their hair...but it's still a good idea grin

Loc: I move too fast to know
If they include divorce, they should have an option where you choose if it is possible, or not. (I totally despise divorce!)
I just hope that they include a little more interaction, and keep the game young-children and family friendly

plus I would like it if they would fix how only five people can eat at one time, and how only six peeps can watch TV.
