Just happened on to this thread today. What great concepts you all have....tho admittedly I do have several favorites! I think the LDW team should just incorporate all of the ideas into VV4.
I really, really hope someone will come up with a kilt skirt idea. Banana leaves might work....or plaited rope from the ship stores.

That worked! So, here is another. This is a maternity inspired outfit. These women somehow never look like they are expecting. They just pop out a child. But here, I have thought of a new take on the conventional muumuu. With bright, cheery colors, a cute babydoll top, bright, gaucho leg capri pants and a floral pattern, this outfit will make any expecting villager proud to be a new mama.

Nealsmama, this is so very cute, and it looks like an outfit our little villagers would wear. I absolutely love the neckline and the floral touches. I really really really like it!!!!

I really like your second one too. Oh the task those poor judges are going to have trying to choose only three outfits out of these entries. I wish they'd use them all.

Here is my final entry. This is for the working woman in the village. She has her canteen for filling up on spring water. On the other hip, she has a machete for harvesting fruit, clearing leaves and keeping her husband in line (j/k!). The dress may have once been pretty (I was first inspired by Ginger from Gilligan's Island), but now it has grass, mud, dirt and flower stains caused by lots of hard work to get the island into tip-top shape. An ode to working women!

Beautiful entries Nealsmama! I love the shape and design of the first dress, it is really beautiful and your maternity outfit is a brilliant idea! I haven't even thought about it As for the working woman's outfit, I love how you attached accessories and even stained the clothes to show that they were "worked in"
