When doing this, there's no need to close the game. As long as you are in windowed mode and not in full-screen mode, anyway.

Pause the game, open the LDW folder, copy the family file to a new folder, unpause and try to make a baby (or whatever you're trying to do), pause the game again, switch to a different family, copy/paste the backup file back to the LDW folder, and switch back to your family.

Works just as well, and you don't have to sit through the loading.

Thanks Tuna Puzzler! I'll remember that. smile I didn't have too much of a problem with waiting for the game since I'd have this forum to play with as I wait, but this will certainly help me out!

Elisa725: I'm sure you'll be able to give it a shot too smile There's an informative post here that explains how to backup and recover your files!

I really do recommend backing up even if you don't want to try this out since it'll help you get your family back in case something goes wrong and they die off.

Yay, another little addition to the rainbow family smile

Either the rainbow girl, spiked hair guy, blue haired girl, and the Mohawk could produce any of these four if married to any other peep. It wouldn't be as likely though as it is if two of the four are paired together.

That's true Lewanda. I had 2 rainbow girls marry brown haired guys and all the kids were blondes and a mohawk guy and a blue haired girl marry other peeps and they never got any kid that looked like their parents. Would love to see a little blue haired girl running around. smile

Lyssaria, I tried doing your experiment but I got the wrong proposals everytime. Finally after rejecting dozens of proposals, I gave up. frown Even tried using the mohawk and the spike haired guys for new experiments but I never got lucky.

Yeah, it's all about luck unfortunately frown Thanks to Lewanda informing me, there's now 6 possible ways to get little miss rainbow hair.
  • Adoption event
  • Mutation
  • Spiked blue man + Rainbow woman
  • Mohawk + Multi-shade blue woman
  • Spiked blue man + Multi-shade blue woman
  • Mohawk + Rainbow woman

I know the proposals can be very discouraging, but don't give up! There's always another day you can give it a try if you have nothing better to do. smile

Well, I'm prepared. Two rainbow girls and a spike should get me there in no time. smile
