I thought that maybe it was because I had to have a family with six kids, so I've been trying and trying with that family and was beginning to panic because the oldest (triplets) are all 18 now and I still haven't found it yet and that's in 10 games! I saw a picture of it sitting in the middle, not far from where the birdhouse is so I have been trying to drop kids in that area, but nothing so far. Now I'll try more in the location you stated.

Only ball I have seen is yellow ball in the sand box who doesn't move. I have wondered if it could ever bounce around? No, but there is a red one hiding in the bushes........................ X.X

Well I have even been dreaming about this wretched red ball, I have tried and tried to find the durn thing by using the first post for clues but no go, I guess that ol red ball can just sit there till it goes pink.

Is it necessary to get the mod to make the tool tray transparent in order to find the ball?

No, you don't have to mod the game to find it. As has been said many many times before, the first post contains a clue. I will add two hint words: LOCATION and EXTREME. (I don't know if these will help much, but it's worth a try)

Also, I'll repeat: The ball is not visible, and you have to click to find it.

Yeah! I finally found the red ball for one of my families! I tried the same location for my other families, but no ball. Guess I'll just keep trying for each of them.
