So now my first couple has died ( cry cry) and they left the 16y old twins behind. So I looked at starting the next generation and accidentally selected a daughter who had gone away to college. This wasn't really a problem, I was indifferent to who took over but...when she was selected the twins disappeared!! And she started checking the house, which had all amenities, stocked fridge and healthy bank account...jeesh.

So my suggestion, really request, is that when a child takes over the house that an option be given to let the younger siblings stay.

That the child choosen to take over "remembers" the house rather than "checks" it.

That if you have an elderly parent, the option to remain applys as well.

Please! Please! Please! grin

I agree w/ Bethlam...My Parents died leaving behind a VERY depressed 14 year old. Nothing I did helped her improve her mood. I had no choice but to call back the oldest sister who was away at college for 4 years. So little Trish went away and Haily returned after 4 years of college as an entry level meat grader??????

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us choose the path each children will take careerwise when they go to college and let them return with that path...even entry level...Haily doesn't even like her career, she never sticks to it...

I think planting a garden would be a great option. It would be an alternate food source and give them something else to do.

I also must agree with everyone else that mentioned the store needs to update more often.

Another thing that would be cool would have a option to paint the rooms and buy new furniture, maybe have an option to buy more trash cans for other rooms LOL!!

Another thing, on the pic on the splash screen the house is 2 stories, yet the game is all on the first floor....is the 2nd floor coming later?

Great Game!!! Thanks

Totally in agreement with all. If I understand this topic correctly, we're supposed to give our suggestions for a better game. Here's my take and wish list.
-I would like to see more interaction between the parents and kids. all I see is that they make them brush their teeth. how about putting children to bed?

-how about a neighborhood? you could set up a couple of houses (instead of new games) and when you wanted to go to a different house you could just click on it. that way they could kind of interact with each other (block parties, picnics etc)and there could be a school for the kids to attend so they wouldn't be watching tv or napping all day.
-how about a way to adopt children at will and not waiting for some little orphan to wander to your door
-and PLEASE put in a warning that when you go to 'next generation' your younger siblings will be taken away. my twins were adorable.

Would be nice if they could take a trip the the dr for insomnia, or sell something stronger than chamomile.

Treats for the animals? Can the animals collect while the ppl sleep? Teach the dog to "fetch" them? Or have mulitple pets and have a cottage industry where we can sell offspring? Maybe best in show's?

Celebrate the real life holidays? Cinco de Mayo is around the corner - sell some pinata's & sombrero's in the shop so they can have a little party? Or give mom & dad mothers & fathers day cards?

kids have friends from the neighborhood over for a few hours for play dates, or a playground in the yard.

I haven't been able to purchase the pictures yet, but it would be fun to see if they are of previous generations or pictures of their previous pets.

Love the game so far!!

Hi, new to the forums but wanted to say a couple of things. I agree with most of the suggestions, BUT I'll say that with all these great suggestions, the game would be moving away from "casual" and into "The Sims" territory smile

I like the suggestions nonetheless... I think when making suggestions for this game it would be important to keep in mind the "casual" aspect. For example, the vegetable garden many have talked about: I agree, I was sorely disappointed by not being able to "interact" with the garden besides picking weeds. However, it would have to be a small amount of food then, also - maybe make a restriction like they can't like on veggies alone or something. So they would NEED to buy other products too smile
And I would LOVE to be able to cultivate flowers!!! It would be awesome to buy vases from the store - they'd appear randomly, right - and then you could pick the flowers you grow smile Also, we have 4 big pots with Isola flowers... just sitting there... not even needing water... :P Just saying'!

Store upgrading -yeah, it's SSOOOOO slow... unbelievable. My tiny homies are OLD by the time I can do ANYTHING with the random updates in the store. When you get like 2 outfits, 2 candies and 4 fruits and then some DVD... what am I supposed to do with that?? And the disappearing outfits, ugh! :P They have that wardrobe for a reason :P If they have a washing machine, why not make it so they can hang the clothes out on a clothesline (to boost happiness or sth? Fresher smell than in a dryer :P) and then a random event where they can lose outfits - stolen from the clothesline. That would be cool, for me at least! :P

Oh and definitely interactions between family members, people staying after generation change etc... Agree with all that!! I personally think that to give it that LDW touch, maybe make the house expandable (and thus enable several generations to live there - grannies and grandkids could have awesome interactions :)), so when a few "normal" generations have passed, they see that the house is aging and then more upgrades are made possible (redecoration, adding new room for grandparents or orphaned youngsters).

I can't think of more at the moment, but I personally think these could be good ways to give some of the previous suggestions the "casual" side and still enable a long playtime, after all that's the LDW thing. What do you guys think? smile

All of the suggestions are great... I would like to have been able to keep my cat when I bought the dog. And yes, having them be able to go places would have been a nice option as well.

I have not read through all of the suggestions yet, so I am sorry if this is a repeat.... it would be nice to get emails from the other family members, or even visits. My next generation had three girls. I would love to know how they are doing from time to time... it would be nice to see them pop by.

And visits from other people or neighbors. Another idea might be different career emails. I seem to have only gotten invitations to join the business group and an annual business association fee. Client requests and updates would be nice. It would be great to see the products of their careers.
