just a quick note for those who commented on my earlier post about not all ppl celebrating xmas....i am aware of this, which is why i suggested it should be a yes/ no event, that way each can choose if they wish to have it or not (same with birthdays, trick or treat etc.)

My husband was watching me play my game earlier today and came up with an idea that was just to good, so i thought i would share. He says that, after the kids go to college, the game should have an option to turn the sandbox into a hot tub!! i loved the ideal. of course it would have to have an option to turn it back into a sandbox for the next generation also!

I just had a thought tonight, when I went shopping for a new lawnmower.....VF needs one of those....starting with an old rotary push one, to a gas motored one, then to a riding one....

And if they did add a garden, one of the careers could be horticulturist....and they could add to their food by picking veggies

Great idea, Rissy! I actually thought of a lawnmower myself, but not the idea of a push one, then a gas or electric one, then a riding one -- very good idea!

I have not read the rest of the suggestions from page 7 on... but I thought I would add a couple of things.

One poster mentioned having the parents be more loving towards the kids. I agree. One of my moms doesn't seem to take notice of the kids even when I try to get her to tickle them or tell stories.

Meal time - yea, not having everyone be able to eat together and having one seat with no food doesn't make sense.

I recevied an email from my peeps asking for different food/ groceries. Is that even an option? Might be nice to offer something else in the store.

It would also be nice to offer the floor repair compound more often in the store,I find that the floors get messed up often, butI can't buy it when I need it.It also took awhile to get the wall compound to finish the outer workshop wall. And I agree with the rest on the other things.,but other than that I enjoy the game alot. Thanks!

I had one more thought - a question really. Why do they not fix things autmatically once they have done it a few times? And after the first generation has passed, I have not seen a need to fix anything after that. No leaking sinks, etc. They should still have to make repairs.

I'd like to see the days actually pass so that at night it gets dark and sunrise etc...
I'd also like to see seasons change, and while celebrating holidays like Christmas seems to be an issue with alot of people, why not celebrate the seasons.
I'd also like to see them maybe go somewhere to celebrate, like on an outing to the beach for summer and there be a mini game for it.
Even a small calender letting you know how much time is passing for them would be good.
With the change of seasons you could get snow shoveling, leaf raking, mowing and maybe even planting of a garden or fruit tree or something.
I would like to see the option of a garden for some veg and maybe a fruit tree option or upgrade.
I find the game a trifle dull, nothing seems to happen and once repairs are made, wrappers picked, and collections collected, it just is very repetitive.
Also celebrating holidays or seasons could be an opportunity for the children that have left to come home for a week to visist or something.
I think that once dinner is made a general dinner gong bell or what have you should go off and they all come to the table to eat at once.
I'd also like the collections to mean something more than just a collection.
I'd like them to earn faster it takes forever to make any money.
I'd like the people to request more than just food.
I'd like the items like the fishtank etc to be interactive for them, like them feeding the fish or dog etc..
More interaction of the characters in general would be nice, it always seems to have a feeling of, well, room mates more than a family.
Also a lemonade stand for the kids in the summer would be a fun way for them to have a small job and make money before they are grown, or a newspaper route, or babysitting.
With the change of seasons it would be nice to see their attire change, shorts in summer sweaters in winter sort of thing.
...sigh...
I feel like I am asking alot..
Oh and have the items come up more frequently in the shop, maybe as you buy something it gets restocked.

not sure if this has been suggested but I think it would be fun if the email came from other players playing the game. It would be fun to have the option to sign up to play online with the emails as well as maybe have other families visit from time to time. If that can't be done then it would be fun if at least if we have more than one slot filled we could interact with the other families. I also think the kids should have chores to do and I would like to see the adults having to "go" to work where you have to get them there on time etc. I'd also like to see actual neighborhoods not just the one house. Also zooming in and out would be nice as well. I know, I don't ask for much but one can dream can't they? lol
