Lailia, how sudden did your computer loose sound? It could be that your speakers blew out. You might be able to pick up a set of speakers to hook up like the ones below:

http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_648..._rd_i=193870011

Or maybe you need a new sound card:

http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_648..._rd_i=193870011

It may not be as expensive as having to get a new computer. smile

PS: I love the little girl, in the video, that has blue/black hair. And the house is AWESOME. I wish our house was that big. wink

Can a old netbook run VF?

Windows XP SP1 (sp2/sp3 don't work)
x86 Family 6 Model 9 Stepping 5 GenuineIntel ~997 Mhz
About 1GB empty space
512MB ram? Not sure
Safe mode (normal mode is destroyed by a virus)

@Havetia:
Windows don't detect speakers in safe mode. Sadly I got a virus, I've tried everything except reformating which I don't have windows xp cd cuz I got this in about 2004/2005

Arthur said the system requirements would be around VV3's so:

Windows System Requirements
Windows 2000,ME,XP,Vista
Download size: 50MB
Direct X 7.0 or later
256 MB of RAM
700 MHz Processor

Your computer looks fine. Although I would recommend trying to free up a little hard drive space. smile

Ooo that's bad Lalia, sorry bout that. That stinks getting a virus. eek

Unfortunately, Lailai, most games won't run in safe mode, including ours. Safe Mode is intended only as a diagnostic environment to help resolve system problems. Most drivers are not loaded, which means that a lot of software and hardware are not supported in Safe Mode.

Could you possibly find what's causing the virus and delete it?

My laptop is Windows XP, and it has 512 MB of RAM, 3.06 GHz, and Direct X 9.0. Is it suitable for this game? Also, is MHz similar to GHz? I am not sure. Thanks.

this look awesome!!

it just may have the capacity to kick some maxis butt.

i hate to be the first person to ask (not that i could be bothered to check) but, will same-sex relationships be enabled in this game? im always a sticker for those guys and just making it possible in games like this helps their plight a tonne, heck Kudos 2 did it.

watched video and truly loved it!!!!! was the little person actually "knocking" on the monitor??? haven't seen anything like that since the mid 1980's "Little computer people" by activision i think. EGA graphcs IF it was that sophisticated, but the little person would knock on the screen to get your attention. I really loved that game and when the original Sims came out i was hoping it was going to be more like little computer people than what it was. Thank you LDW!!! i've missed the knock ;-)
