My guess is it's a totally different, new game. And, just maybe, they started on it a little earlier than predicted!

Time will tell, though . . . And time can be sooo slow!

Ooooooh you're right! It does seem like that!

Hehe the person got it wrong about the order or pt and ft! I was rotfl!

According to the evidence available, it's probably something fresh, but there's always a chance.

Loki, there are always sticky problems when using someone else's idea - if they were going to use your idea, I think you'd have been asked to sign a form or two. EDIT: Also, a lot of work goes into preparing to program a game; we only see the progress done in the programming on the chart, but a lot goes into determining what it is they actually want to create. For example, before writing VV3, I'm sure they knew exactly what they wanted every single puzzle to consist of.

Lastly, what else is there? Bugs have been mentioned, using the VV2 assets. Robot factories, perhaps? But that would only be another form of Virtual Villager. Well, we'll see in due time.

I think the Bugs would use more of the Plant Tycoon assets.

If it's so, then that's so. I'm not familiar with Plant Tycoon. The first occurrence of this idea was mentioned using the bug collection from VV2, which is why I repeat that here.

I was thinking the same thing. There are tons of great bugs in PT. Maybe they'd use both sets. Hmm. I don't know Fish Tycoon very well, but I do know that fish eat a lot of bugs too. Were there any in FT? Flys and worms and all kinds of bugs would have been perfect fish food. There could be something to all this -- but -- can there really be a bug tycoon?? Unless they were being sold for medical research or something very exotic, how many people are going to be buying bugs and for enough to become a tycoon?? Has anyone here ever been to a bug store? I've seen pet stores selling crickets for lizard food, and worms are sold at bait shops, but I don't remember ever seeing much else in bug retail . . . How else could bugs be a feature in a game? Any ideas? I don't really see LDW doing match 3 bugs game or a game of hidden bugs in old mainsions, but I've been wrong before.

There's a great screen shot in the PT Guides forum with all the bugs. Check it out. It might even inspire you to try the game which I think is terrific. No green thumb needed! Like the Villager games, it requires a little patience sometimes, or frequent checking if you've got it on fast.

emri, I just love Plant Tycoon, I keep going back to it. Of all the great LDW games PT is my favourite. Perhaps some folk like to go at a slower pace and appreciate the game more \:D

The mushroom on VV1 images folder that didn't ever been used - could that be a hint? And look at:
http://bugtycoon.com/
Its parked by godaddy... is that a hint too? (PS: LDW.COM is hosted by a different company than godaddy)
