I am a girl. And it is so refreshing to see a lot of older women on this website and posting as well. I will be 55 in July. I used to be a little reluctant to tell my age. But LDW has some pretty good people on thier forums. And it has been pretty easy since I joined back in 06 with the friendliness of everyone. Love the games and love the creators as well as the forums.

I beat you to it . . . I turned 55 in March and am still here to tell it! Welcome to middle age. It's not soo bad -- but then I sort of envy those who just graduated 8th grade and are looking forward to high school which seems as if it were many lifetimes ago -- and it was!! Anyway, it is great to see others of my generation here as well! Oh, and by the way (btw?) I, too, am a woman, female, girl (um, maybe still, yeah, sure, why not), ma'am (though I HATE being called that!), chick, and lady!

Don't cry . . . or feel childish! You may still legally be a child, but you don't act childish, at least in the forum here that I've seen. You seem very mature! I love your quotes (walk on soles... and be who you choose to be) -- both very mature thoughts (mature in a good way!) And, you make beautiful avatars! Not child play. Enjoy childhood -- we only get a few years of it, and spend the rest enjoying those memories. You'll have plenty of time to be an adult; it lasts way longer than childhood.

p.s. In case their's any confusion, I am most definitely a GUY, MAN, Whatever, but NOT a GAL! I mostly stay up on this thread to try and avoid some of the humiliating mistakes I've made in the past. It doesn't always, work, but it helps, So I agree this thread is needed!

other forums have little female/male icons in pink and
blue . they show up right under your avi ,that should

Well RuthieJo is all girl sounding, but I play a lot of rpg and I use MacDoyle, MacRiley and MacHonea, they all male sounding names, but I'm very much a girl, in fact I have five children and sixteen grandchildren and will be 61 in Sept.

Child, don't grow up too fast. When I was your age, I had a new baby brother. My mother wanted him until he came along, then I got stuck with him, I grew up fast, but still had to go to school. I also cleaned and cooked on top of everything else. Guess what, I just barely made it out of high school but wasn't smart enough to go to college.

So even though you're wishing you were older, stay young as long as you can, and enjoy it.

Beside playing these games makes you feel older than you really are.
