Thank you, LadyCFII, so I guess my "master plan" of leaving parenting as the last skill for a JOAT to learn is full of fail. I guess speed kissing is an option albeit more work for me.. oh well!

That's not a bug, but rather the effects of the random nature of collectibles. Are you using the chief to point out rare collectibles each day?

If you click on the "?" next to Leadership Tech, there is an explanation of the chief's abilities. This thread contains an explanation of how to get the chief to point out a rare collectible, as well.

Have you got L3 Leadership? If so you will be able to use your chief to point out a rare collectible every 24 hours from the top of the path near the door. Note that the chief does not physically point to the collectible; it may be anywhere on the map. Also remember that it does not have to be a new collectible. You will need a kid to pick up the collectible in the usual way. Of course, if the chief is a child, you can drop him or her on it to pick it up.

That issue is a function of your computer's video card not switching into 800x600 resolution. The video card is staying at the higher resolution and displaying the game in the center of the screen. You can manually set your display setting to 800x600 before running the game full-screen, or you will need to consult your video card's user's manual or contact the manufacturer to determine how to get it to automatically switch to 800x600 resolution.

Updating your video drivers can fix many video issues; also make sure your video drivers are up-to-date by installing the latest drivers from your manufacturer's web site.
