I have a chief who "only does.....every 24 hours...." Fair enough, but he says this even when he has never been asked to to a thing, or when more than 24 hours have passed before I try again.

Any ideas?

Everything we know about that bug, including any possible recovery until we can get it fixed, is discussed here.

Ever since waking up to a beach full of skeletons on vv1 I always tend to pause the game over night. I put all my little people where I want them to be - research table, orchard ect, when I go back to the game they have all moved elsewhere despite the game being paused. Apologies if this has already been posted.

The game does not store the positions of the villagers in the savegame file. When the game is paused, the villagers will change positions when you come back to it, but everything else will be unchanged.

Thanks LadyCFII - it doesn't spoil the game at all, just thought it worth a mention

Why oh why does my nursing mothers not count time correctly. I keep my game running a watch for events as it's early on in my 4th village but for some reason it's taking longer for the mothers to release the children than expected, for example my chief is still nursing and still requires a further 108 mins before she due to let go. I mated her at 4pm UK time and it is now 10pm UK time I'm running the game in normal mode. I don't play around with my system clock as that is pointless as it would spoil the game, but it is frustrating when you are waiting on your chief to carry out certain task but is held up due to nursing for longer than expected!

Any views on why this is happening on this village as it didn't appear on any others.

Running the game on XP Pro.

I have run in to a few problems.

I can't get the fire key. The fire has burned long enough, however no matter how much water my villager pours on the diamond, it keeps saying it is too hot to pick up.

Rain Dance: I have the 3 adept builders and the chief dancing, it says the are doing a rain dance, but it does not complete the puzzle.

I am playing 2 tribes at once. One of them only has 3 villagers left, well it had 4 villagers but the one and only female is dead. Before she was dead I tired and tried to get her to have a baby. She was like 48, tired the fertility potion that did not work. So she never got a baby and now all I have left is 3 men villages, can't do much with them.
