Yes, there is a peach (I think) tree. Three different trees possible.

You can use children to pick up mushrooms (I think collectibles are accompanied by chimes???) You have to look for them on the ground and I think they appear more frequently after a rain. Also make sure you have a chief. Ask yourself, if a chief were going to make food magic, where would he do it?
