I had to go back to the screenshots to see about the "rollers". LOL. After looking at the shot, I've come to the conclusion that it is a flower/leaf in her hair. No matter where a girl is; she always wants to look good.

I'm still trying to figure out why people are trying to impose Western morality on the villagers... What is all this about having them be married? It's a newly formed society and won't necessarily reflect our own laws. Let them be who they will be.
