The first thing you should do is read our
Forum Rules and Posting Guidelines, which contain important information that everyone should know when participating in our community here.
It's actually very easy to use our forums, once you get familiar with how they are organized. The primary means of getting help or discussing LDW-related subjects are the various forums that are contained here. The forums are divided into sections, and every section has a brief description of its purpose beneath the section name. Each section contains one or more forums. Each forum has a description of its purpose beneath the forum name and is dedicated to discussing topics related to the purpose of that forum (for example, the Introductions Forum in the General Discussion section is where new members can introduce themselves and be welcomed into the community).
Within each forum you will find a list of all topics (or threads) that have been posted in that forum. Within each topic (thread) you will find one or more posts that have been made related to that topic. You may feel free to reply to any existing topic (thread) or start a new topic, as long as it is an appropriate topic for that forum.
If you have questions about using the forums that aren't answered here, you may ask your question in the General Discussion forum. Have fun!
How to Participate in the ForumsHow to find an answer to your question- First, locate the appropriate section and forum by clicking on "Forum List" at the top of the forums (underneath the forum banner) and looking at the list of forums that are contained in each section. If you don't see what you're looking for, just scroll down the list in your browser window to see additional sections and forums.
- Click on the title of a forum (e.g. Plant Tycoon in The Games section), and you'll see the first page of the list of topics that have already been posted in the Plant Tycoon forum. Most forums have many pages of topics in them.
- If you're looking for specific information, consider using the forum's Search feature. Click on Search at the top of the forums (beneath the forum banner), type what you're looking for in the box, and click Go. You can also use the Advanced link to take you to a search page that allows you to select specific criteria for your search, such as choosing forums to search and setting a date range. Make sure to set the date range to at least 6 months, so that you are more likely to find what you're looking for.
- If you don't see what you're looking for, you may post a new topic.
- If you see an existing topic that interests you, click on the subject line of that topic in the topic list to see the existing discussion about that topic.
How to reply to an existing topic- It's a good idea to read what has already been posted in that topic before replying, although some topics, such as game suggestions, are too long to make that practical.
- When you are ready to reply, simply click on the orange "New Reply" tab at the top of the post list, or click the Reply button in any post, or use the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the page. Using the Reply button allows you to use many more posting options than the Quick Reply button does. These are listed below and are in order as they appear on the toolbar from left to right. Note: For most of the text formatting tags, you can click the button and type your text between the tags that were inserted when you clicked the button.

The post is recorded immediately, but the forum software may not display it immediately. Clicking the Submit button more than once will cause you to post multiple replies that will have to be deleted by a moderator.

How to edit one of your postsRather than make consecutive posts, you should consider editing your post, if it's within 6 hours of when you posted it. It's much more considerate of other forum users to edit a post when you find an error or think of something to add, and it's less overhead for the forums. To edit your post, follow these steps:
- Click on the Edit button in the post that you want to edit.
- Make any desired changes in the text entry box
- Click the Preview button if you want to see how your post will look.
- Click the Submit button to post your topic. That's all there is to it!
You can also delete your own post within 6 hours of posting it, if you decide you want to remove it. When you click on the Edit button, you will see the option to delete the post.
