The link posted for the .NET frame thingy didnt work i downloaded it and then tried to run the virtual seed tray and it said that i didnt have the .NET frame.

Which link did you use? There's a link to Microsoft's site in this post that will take you directly to the .NET Framework 2.0 download page.

I can't recall but is it possible that after you download the link from microsoft you have to run it?

When you clicked to download the microsoft link, did you pick Save to Disk, Run, Open, or did it not give you an option?

If it lets you pick an option, I think for microsoft the best option is Open or Run (usually for most programs you download you would want Save to Disk, but I think the microsoft one is a small program that then creates a stream to read the large download from one of several mirror sites)

I believe the .NET download is huge and would take at least 5 minutes to download and install. (I might be wrong, anyone know?) How long did it take when you downloaded it? If it was just a few seconds, you were downloading the small loading program that sets things up to download the real thing. Check your download folder and see if there is something that is new from microsoft today, and click it and run it to install .NET
