Before a program is released it is given to a limited number of people to test, to see if they can find any problems and make suggestions. That way the game can be tested on a variety of machines, as well. Once the beta testing is finished, the game is released to everyone.

Well, in this post, where Carla announced the name of VV2, it was the 20th of December in 2006, and she said that the game was coming out in time for the holidays. That's not a lot of time from the announcement to the release. \:\)

EDIT: I just remembered that the game really didn't exactly come out in time for the holidays that year.

nope they aren't late you just don't release them until they are ready and as _bug_ free as possible worry not LadyCFII whenever it is released it will be "on-time".
