For VV1, my favorites included the Prodigy Child, babies in a barrel, any event which gave tech points or food, the wind which refreshed the berry bush, and the vials.
For VV2, I liked Biggles, the Fastest Runner, Old Friends, Greeting the Guiding Hand, and Honoring the Dead.

I didn't like the event which completely decimated the food resources (The Foul Passing)as it happened when I kind of needed the food nor the measles epidemic in the first game but that was mainly because I had around 60 children at the time.

Overall though, I liked all of the events (even the ones which went against what I really wanted or needed) because it made the game trickier to beat and keeps prologing the game play as anything can change in an instant if the player isn't careful.
